Academic Jovan Soldatović is a widely renowned sculptor on an international scale, who dedicated his entire opus to the fight for peace and the humanization of life on this planet. He enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1942, and thanks to his remarkable talent, he graduated with excellent grades.

In 1949, Jovan Soldatović held his first solo exhibition of sculptures at the Gallery of the Graphic Collective in Belgrade, followed by his first solo exhibition in Novi Sad at the Salon 55 of the Tribune of Youth in 1953.

Soldatović also exhibited at several significant international exhibitions: the First Mediterranean Biennale in Alexandria, Egypt (1955), the World Exhibition in Brussels, Belgium (1958), the Fifth Biennale of Sculpture in Middelheim Park near Antwerp, Belgium (1958), and the Second International Sculpture Exhibition at the Rodin Museum in Paris (1961).

On that occasion, Soldatović established correspondence with U Thant, the then Secretary-General of the United Nations. The exhibition was attended by over 50,000 visitors, including President Josip Broz Tito.

Project GOLFER - Jovan Soldatović

Sculptor Jovan Soldatović is a renowned figure on a global scale, and his golfer sculptures are the only sports sculptures he created during his lifetime. In this way, art and sport, in this case golf, are brought together. This is an important fact that adds a special dimension to the entire project. In addition to the artistic and aesthetic elements in the outdoor space, the entire project could also have significant marketing value.

The sculptures, GOLFER I and GOLFER II, could serve as exceptional enhancements and integral parts of a golf course. These bronze sculptures would blend excellently with the natural surroundings of the golf course, harmonizing with the dominant elements present (stone, wood, water…) and making it even more attractive.

GOLFER I

GOLFER II

The GOLFER project consists of several segments:

  1. Landscaping and Outdoor Design – The visual impact of placing large-format sculptures at locations such as the clubhouse, driving range, or another special location;
  1. Marketing Function – Considering that this involves the art of a prominent international sculptor, Mr. Jovan Soldatović, marketing activities could develop in the following directions:
    1. The GOLFER project has great potential for the sculptures to become a trademark of the golf course;
    2. Creation of smaller-scale trophies for future tournaments that would be organized;
    3. Special gifts for distinguished guests, business partners, clients…;
    4. Commercial approach – Golfers and other visitors could purchase sculptures (in different materials and sizes) as souvenirs, which could serve both as decor for their office or home and as a way to promote the golf course among their friends and business partners.

By realizing this idea, the golf course would become unique and recognizable worldwide, both for its exceptional course and for the elegance and harmony embodied in Soldatović’s GOLFER sculptures.
